| PRESTBURY RIDING CLUB General Rules 1. At all events all riders must wear protective headgear that includes a permanently fitted, non-detachable retaining harness that must be securely fastened. Juniors must wear this headgear when showing in-hand. Hats must comply with EN1384 or PAS015. 2. Riders and Equines ages as at 1st January in the current year. 3. Minimum age of equines: Ridden 3 years, Jumping 4 years. Age taken as at the 1st January. 4. Trophies awarded at the Presentation Dance must be returned to a committee member by the end of 5. September at the latest. A penalty of £5.00 plus costs of phone calls will be levied on all late returns. 6. Entry fees must be fully paid before a rider enters the ring and will only be refunded on the production of a valid doctors/vets certificate. 7. Stallions or colts will be allowed on the show ground providing they have at least 3rd party insurance and are handled/ridden by an adult over 18 – unless covered by Breed Society rules, and must display a blue coloured ribbon on the tail. They may not enter Young Handler, Junior Handler, or any First Ridden, Lead Rein or Show Pony classes. 8. All Ridden Showing classes are open to Lead Rein 9. Show Jumping: BSJA rules will apply. 10. Novelty classes are open to all ages 11. The committee reserves the right to divide or combine any class, or reduce the number of placings, due to the number of entries. 12. Competitors should ensure that the correct dress is worn. Light coloured jodhpurs, jacket, stock/tie, long or short riding boots with a suitable heel, long hair should be tied back or netted. No earrings or facial studs. 12. Whips exceeding 30" are not allowed. 12. The decision of the judge is final and no competitor or spectator may approach the judge over the decision. 13. Any person ill treating any horse or pony, or riding in a dangerous manner will be disqualified and told to leave the show ground without refunds. 14. The committee reserves the right to disqualify the owner or rider from the show for any act of discourtesy to the committee or officials. 15. All protests and objections must be made in writing, within 1 hour of the incident and must be accompanied by a fee of £10.00, which will be refunded if the objection is upheld. 16. When not competing or riding in a warm up area, horses and ponies must only be ridden at a walk. 17. No horse or pony must be left unattended at any time. 18. All dogs must be kept on a short lead at all times. 19. Please take all your litter home and please ensure the area around your trailer/horse box is left tidy. 20. Prestbury Riding Club and the committee disclaim any responsibility for loss, injury or damage to persons, animals or property howsoever caused.
